They give us a perspective on the city’s complex history and are an indispensable source of knowledge. Part of the museum's brief is to make the collections available to people who want to learn from them. The collections are divided into archive materials, books, photographs, art and physical objects. The most important entry-point to the collections is the Documentary Room at the museum and the various displays and branches of the museum. Parts of the collections are also shown by other museums and institutions which have loaned items from the Stockholm City Museum or have received depositions. The relevant department is working to make parts of the illustrated catalogues available on the website in a simpler version. Superior quality and more extensive materials will be available in the Documentary Room. Further information about loans and depositions You may make use of any of the material on this website. Images on the website are not suitable for printing, enlarging, reproducing, etc. Higher-resolution images for such purposes can be ordered from the Documentary Room.
