Our mission is to deepen your understanding of the city of Stockholm. The museum is situated in a 17th century palace next to Slussen, strategically located at Södermalm - the Southern Island of Stockholm. It has been one of the greatest meeting places in Stockholm for more than three centuries. This building used to be the Southern City Hall and therefore has many stories to tell. Witches were convicted here, Carl Von Linné participated in public autopsies on the site while Carl Michael Bellman was one of many visitors to the 17th century tavern. Today the Stockholm City Museum is Sweden’s largest municipal museum and preserves the collections and treasures of our city. What will you gain from a partnership with the Stockholm City Museum?
