Rose the Poodle Rose is Stockholm’s prettiest wastebasket. She is also the mascot of the Stockholm City Museum and would be delighted to have your trash thrown into her. She enjoys being petted. Rose was born in 2005 and created by her mother Moa Lönn, an artist who was educated at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Rose was part of an innovative children’s playground exhibition. The same year Rose was born; she was moved to the Stockholm City Museum’s yard during the exhibition Design: Stockholm. In January 2006, Rose was kidnapped by a dog thief. She was taken all the way to the subway station Vällingby. Rose was in despair. Luckily, she was found by the Stockholm City Museum, where she now lives. Now and then it still happens that Rose takes a trip – just to satisfy her taste for trash. |
